Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to South East Language Development Centre (SELDC).

We are one of five Independent Public Schools in WA that provide specialised support for children with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD). Our focus is on early intervention, helping students from Kindergarten to Year Two build strong foundations for learning and life.

At SELDC, teachers, education assistants, and speech pathologists work together in classrooms to deliver engaging, language-rich programs tailored to each child’s needs. We believe every child has the capacity to succeed, and our core values — Be Kind, Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Your Best — guide everything we do.

Our Outreach Service also supports schools across the Goldfields, building staff expertise in oral language and literacy and assisting students as they transition back to their mainstream schools.

We are proud of our strong partnerships with families and the wider community, and of our dedicated staff who go above and beyond to help students thrive. At the heart of our work is our ethos: Language for Life.
